ADVANTAGES OF BLUE CARD OVER WORK VISAS
The Blaue Karte EU, Blue Card, or simply BC is a special residence permit for hiring highly qualified professionals who have a job offer with an annual income of at least 45,300 Euros. For doctors, scientists, mathematicians, engineers, IT specialists and other in-demand professions this threshold is lowered.
1.Quicker Permanent Residence Permit : Blue Card holders are entitled to an accelerated permanent residence permit (PMP) in Germany after 21 months from the start of employment, provided they speak German.

2. No German language skills required: Blue Card holders, including IT professionals without a university degree, are no longer required to prove their German language skills.

3. Fast visa processing: The application window process and the processing of documents for the Blue Card is faster than for other types of work visas. With the standard procedure, the visa decision is taken at the embassy without sending the documents to Germany.

4. Free change of employer: After 12 months of stay in Germany, the holder of the Blaue Karte does not need to obtain permission from the migration office to move to a new employer.

5. Possibility to move parents: From 1 March 2024, new Blue Card holders will be able to move their parents to Germany if they have sufficient funds to support them.

6. No minimum living spacerequirements for family reunification: Blue Card holders do not need to prove that they have sufficient living space.

7. No additional age requirements: There are no special income and savings requirements for Blue Card applicants over the age of 45.

8 Possibility of living outside Germany: Blue Card holders can leave Germany and stay in other Schengen countries for up to 12 months. Holders of other residence permits may not leave Germany for more than 3 months in a six-month period.

9. No language requirements for the partner: when applying for family reunification, the spouse does not need to prove the level of German language A1.
